DESIGN DETAILS:
The purpose of this collection is to design an aesthetic wear collection for tour guides which, rain or shine, continue to work in some rainy conditions. Because of the requirements of their job, they spend a lot of time outside, walking and hurrying around. Some guides work in costal or tropical cities where the weather, particularly rain, can make it difficult for tour guides. In order to solve these problems, this collection uses water repellent fabrics and PFC coatings to provide water repellency, high comfort level, and functionality. Moreover, because of the particular of tour guides’ job, the designs include pockets for them to store backup raincoats for the tourists. The collection also has storage for other common tools used by guides such as portable public address systems (PA Systems) that can be stored in the jacket instead of being exposed and damaged by the rain.
Fabric Innovations:
o Specific Aesthetic features: Choose vibrant colors and textile patterns to make the whole collection eye-catching, fun and easy for tourists to recognize.
o Specific Functional features: Shape retention, easy to care, strength and comfort. Easy to launder.
Fiber Innovations:
o Specific Aesthetic features: Brightness provided by synthetic fiber like Nylon.
o Specific Functional features: The use of synthetic fiber can provide people with stretch, flexibility, wrinkle resistant, dry fast.
Design Innovations:
o Specific Aesthetic features: The slit open front of the jacket can provide good ventilation and easy to move or wear.
o Specific Functional features: There is hidden space for tour guides’ speakers, pockets to store backup raincoats for tourists. We also design awater-repellent chest bag for tour guides to store small electronic devices and paper documents. In addition, all the pants legs are removable thus people can adjust their pants base on the change of weather.
